Next Generation Indie Book Awards

In 2016, one of our clients requested a new look and feel for their website, and a small backend for viewing vital information and statistics. The old site was narrow and difficult to navigate, having been built when screens were smaller, and it did not show well on mobile devices.

We built the backend first, and then focused on the public website. We kept the unique design elements that made the previous site stand out, but made the layout more dynamic and filled in the navigation holes. Within two weeks we delivered the new website. In addition to displaying well on mobile devices, it is the first search result for indie book awards, and is on the first page for other related search terms.

In 2021 they asked us to update their website once more, with a new look and a brand new account-based entry system. We constructed a member portal where users can enter their book, upload digital copies for judging, track their entry's progress, and order trophies and other awards if their entry was named a winner or finalist. We also updated the backend to support the new system. Since launching, the portal has received unanimous praise from entrants into the awards program for being the easiest way to enter any book awards programs, and led to a 26% increase in revenue in its first year.
